Graduate Research Course Teaching Strategy:
Assignment Box & Prospector in WebCT 6.

Teaching graduate courses clearly is important for the students who work each day, and then come in for class each week. An effective teaching strategy is a method to assess their learning for the research course. The method focused on is to use clear assignments that small groups of peers (fellow graduate students in class) work on together. This year (fall semester) was the very first time WebCT 6 was used, and the assignment “box” was used for this course.  During summer TUT program, I learned how to use WebCT 6, and how to use and manage the assignment tool for the graduate course. In addition, I added Prospector for their literature searches and research plans. The work was done to support the students learning research topics for their thesis work. The PowerPoint slides will show the assignment topics and the prospector link about this teaching strategy.
